新型コロナウイルス感染拡大の影響で休止していたブラウンライスウィークが13日、中央キャンパス「アゼリア」と「華SAKU食堂」でスタートしました。19日まで。

 

 ブラウンライスウィークは、ブラウンライスボランティアの活動で、玄米を使ったメニューを学内の食堂で提供し、売上の10％を国連WFP協会に寄付して、途上国の「学校給食プログラム」に役立てています。

 

ブラウンライスのメニューは、ボランティアメンバーの学生が考案しており、コロナ禍以前はレシピの試作会を行っていましたが、現在は各自宅で作り、食堂のスタッフの皆さんに点数を付けてもらい、メニューを決定しています。また、文化祭の期間中（10月9、10日）には、新米の玄米（丹波産ミルキークイーン）の販売を行いました。

October 13^th saw the return of Brown Rice menu being added back on its menu. Ever since the number of infection of Covid-19 increased, the number of students on campus decreased, resulting to a limited variation of food menu available on campus.

 

Brown Rice Week is a volunteer activity using brown rice and offering an option of brown rice meal at the campus cafeterias. Upon purchasing, 10% of the sales will then be donated to the United Nations WFP Association to help the “school lunch program” in developing countries.The menu is usually devised by volunteer students, but with the pandemic, the students make prototypes at home then ask the cafeteria staff to test them and giving it a rating before adding it on the menu.
