＜日本語/English＞ バフチェシヒル大学の教員による講義「Lecture Series on Architecture in Turkey」がオンラインで行われ、建築学部の学生、大学院生が8つの講義を受講しました。

本学とトルコ・バフチェシヒル大学は2008 年に一般交流協定を締結しています。これまでも短期留学生の受け入れや派遣など交流を継続してきました。コロナ禍で直接の交流が難しい中、10 月7 日～11 月4 日にかけて、バフチェシヒル大学の教員による講義「Lecture Series on Architecture in Turkey」をオンラインで実施し、本学建築学部・大学院建築学研究科の学生が、トルコの建築に関する8つの講義を受講しました。毎回約100～130人の学生が参加しました。

講義の内容は「ブルサとエディルネの建築」「イスタンブールの建築」「トルコのドーム建築の歴史的背景と事例」「トルコのヘレニズム建築」「トルコのビザンティン建築」「カッパドキアの洞窟住居と地下都市」「トルコの住居」「トルコの木造建築」。

例えばオスマン帝国の首都であったブルサ、エディルネ、そしてイスタンブールに見られる様々なモスク、有名なアヤソフィア、プリエネなどの古代ギリシア都市、コーラ修道院のモザイク画、奇岩群のカッパドキア、伝統的な民家群の景観を持つサフランボル、そして木造町家の改修事例や遊牧民の伝統を持つトルコ人の住まい方まで、非常に多岐に渡る内容でした。それぞれの講義の最後には英語で活発な質疑が交わされ、参加した学生たちはトルコの建築に関する知見を深めることができました。

 

受講した学生たちは「日本とは違うトルコの建築や歴史を知ることができ、実際に行ってみたい気持ちが強くなりました」「講義で見た動画からもトルコの文化が感じられ、貴重な体験でした」「ギリシャ建築、キリスト教建築、イスラム建築等が混在する、まさに文明の十字路でした」「さまざまな国の文化や建築を学ぶためにも、もっと英語の勉強に力を入れていきたいと思いました」などと話しています。

 

Back in 2008, Mukogawa Women’s University tied a general exchange agreement with Bahcesehir University, in Turkey. Both parties have been committed to working cooperatively in various activities since then and even while the challenging phases during the pandemic. From October 7^th to November 4^th, a series of 8 of online lecture sessions have been provided for the students of the Faculty of Architecture and Graduate school of Architecture.

 

The contents of the 8 lectures include – architecture of Bursa and Edirne, architecture of Istanbul, historical background and examples of Turkish dome architecture, Turkish Hellenistic architecture, Byzantine architecture in Turkey, Cappadocia cave dwellings and underground cities, residing in Turkey and wooden Turkish architecture. At the end of each lecture, questions were fired by students all eager to learn more. The students who had participated in the lectures were able to deepen their knowledge of Turkish architecture.
