中央図書館で、図書館セミナー「POP作成ワークショップ」を開催しました。

第3回図書館セミナー「本のポップを作ろう！POP作成ワークショップ」を7月10日、中央図書館のグローバルスタジオで開催しました。紀伊國屋書店から講師を招き、参加者たちは好きな本のPOPを完成させました。

 

POPは「伝えたいことをアピールするもの」という説明を受けて、実際に使われた図書館・図書室のPOPを参考に、制作物のイメージを固めます。

ワークショップの参加者それぞれが、選んできた本のキャッチコピーや、A５サイズのPOPに載せる紹介文を考えながら、テンプレートを使って「企画シート」に書き込みました。その後パワーポイントを使って、背景に色や模様をいれたり、イラストを選んだりして、自分なりのアレンジを加えていきました。

 

講師から「本の装丁や内容から、イメージカラーを決めるところから始めてみては」「キャッチコピーや紹介文でどう魅力を伝えるかが工夫のしどころ。でもトリックや結末に関わる種明かしはNGです」「立体的に別のイラストを切り貼りしてもすてき」など、具体的なアドバイスやパワーポイントの活用方法を教わりながら、約1時間かけてPOPを完成させました。

 

参加者同士個性の違う作品に「かわいい！」「すてきですね」と感想を交換。また、これまでに作られたPOPを見ながら「この花はどうやって作ってあるのかな」などと、今後の制作に役立つ情報収集もしていました。

 

The third library seminar ‘Let's make a POP for books! - A POP design making workshop' was held on 10th of July in the Global Studio of the Central Library. A lecturer from Kinokuniya Bookstore was invited and participants worked on completing POPs of their chosen books.

 

 After being briefed that POP is ‘something that appeals to the message you want to convey’, the participants used actual POPs from libraries and reading rooms as a reference to solidify the image of their creations.

 

Each workshop participant wrote on a ‘planning sheet’ using a template while thinking about the slogan of the book they had selected and the introduction to be placed on the A5-size POP. They then used PowerPoint to add their own arrangements, such as adding colors and patterns to the background and choosing illustrations.
