教育学科国際教育コースの学生がベトナム・ホーチミン市でフィールドワークを行いました。

教育学科国際教育コースの3、4年生計11人が2月22日から3月1日までベトナム・ホーチミンでフィールドワーク研修を実施。日本とベトナムの教育や社会の違いを体験的に理解するとともに、教育を多角的な視点で考察する機会を得ました。

 

国際教育コースでは、海外の教育や社会を現地で学ぶ「国際教育フィールドワーク」を学びの柱としており、学生が現地の学校や大学を訪問し、教育実践や文化的背景を体験的
に理解する機会を設けています。

今回のフィールドワークでは、ホーチミン市教育大学附属高校（the Experimental High School）を訪問し、校長から学校教育の概要について説明を受けた後、高校生に交
じって英語、数学、理科、体育などの授業に参加しました。また、高校生との交流活動も行い、日本文化の紹介やグループディスカッションを通じて互いの学校生活や将来の夢に
ついて意見交換を行いました。

さらに、ホーチミン市教育大学では大学生との意見交換を実施し、日本とベトナムの校則、ICT・AIの活用、教育観などについて議論しました。学生同士の率直な対話を通して
それぞれの教育や社会の特徴について理解を深める貴重な機会となりました。

このほか、ホーチミン市日本人学校を訪問してフィールドワークを行い、海外で学ぶ日本の子どもたちの教育環境について理解を深めました。また、歴史博物館や統一会堂、寺
院や教会などを訪れ、ベトナムの歴史や社会を体感しました。

参加した学生からは、「授業の進め方や生徒の主体的な学びに刺激を受けた」「日本の教育をあらためて見つめ直す機会になった」「世界の成長センターであるASEANの力を直
接感じることができ、とても貴重な経験になった」といった感想が聞かれました。

In the International Education Course, “International Education
Fieldwork” serves as a core component of the curriculum, offering students
opportunities to learn about education and society in different countries
through direct engagement in local educational settings. By visiting schools and
universities abroad, students gain firsthand insights into educational practices
as well as the cultural and social contexts in which they are embedded.
During this program, the students visited the Experimental High School
affiliated with Ho Chi Minh City University of Education. After receiving an
overview of the school from the principal, the students joined high school
classes and observed lessons in subjects such as English, mathematics, science,
and physical education. They also took part in exchange activities with local
high school students, introducing aspects of Japanese culture and engaging in
small-group discussions about school life, future aspirations, and educational
experiences.
The program also included a visit to Ho Chi Minh City University of
Education, where Mukogawa students held discussions with Vietnamese university
students. They exchanged views on topics such as school rules, the use of ICT
and AI in education, and broader perspectives on the purposes of education.
Through these open and thoughtful conversations, the students deepened their
understanding of the similarities and differences between Japanese and
Vietnamese education.
In addition, the students conducted fieldwork at the Japanese School in
Ho Chi Minh City, where they observed the educational environment of Japanese
children living overseas. The program further included visits to historical and
cultural sites such as the Vietnam History Museum, the Independence Palace,
temples, and churches, allowing students to gain a broader understanding of
Vietnam’s history and society.
Students who participated in the program commented that they were
“inspired by the active learning atmosphere and the students’ engagement in
class,” that the experience “provided a valuable opportunity to reconsider
Japanese education from a new perspective,” and that it was “a rare and
meaningful experience to directly witness the dynamism of ASEAN, one of the
world’s major growth regions.” Through this fieldwork experience, the students
developed a deeper appreciation of the diversity of educational practices and
social contexts, while also gaining new perspectives on education from a global
and comparative standpoint.
