A debriefing session held for Mukogawa Women’s University canoe club for their 10th consecutive win at the
All Japan Student Canoe Sprint Championship.

武庫川女子大学カヌー部が「第57回全日本学生カヌースプリント選手権大会」（8月24～29日、山形県月山湖カヌースプリント競技場）で総合優勝し、10連覇を達成した報告会が9月24日に開催され、大河原量学院長、瀬口和義学長、山﨑彰副学長に競技結果や大会を振り返った感想を報告しました。
カヌー部からは、主将でカヤック部門の最優秀選手賞（MVP）に選ばれた平尾和奏さん（健康・スポーツ科学科４年）、副将の井﨑里美さん（健康・スポーツ科学科４年）、カナディアン部門の最優秀選手賞（MVP）に選ばれた小林実央さん（健康・スポーツ科学科2年）と、カヌー部部長の長岡雅美健康・スポーツ科学科教授、副部長の渡邊完児健康・スポーツ科学科教授、橋本千晶コーチが出席しました。
部長の長岡教授から「学生の活躍と橋本コーチのご指導があり、インカレ優勝１０連覇を達成することができました」と報告があり、橋本コーチは「日頃より新しい艇庫やたくさんのサポートをいただき、恵まれた環境で練習をさせていただいていることに感謝しています。１０連覇を意識したことはありませんが、学生が変わっていく中で、伝統をつなぎ、時間を共有してきたことがすごい記録になったことを実感しています」と感想を述べました。
平尾さんは、「１０連覇を達成することができてうれしいです。カヤック500ｍシングルを落としてしまった後のカヤック200ｍシングルでは、プレッシャーや緊張も感じましたが、1位を獲ることができました。チームの存在とたくさんの方々のご声援を力にやり遂げることができました。ありがとうございます」と話しました。井﨑さんは「カヌー部は個性豊かな部員が揃っています。コロナ禍の影響で声を出すことはできませんでしたが、選手も応援する側も一つの舟に気持ちを乗せて、10連覇を達成することができました」と話し、小林さんは「個人成績でも去年と同じ種目で2連覇することができてうれしいです。たくさんのご支援、ご声援をありがとうございます」と感謝の言葉を述べました。
大河原学院長は、「１０連覇おめでとうございます。大変な練習を重ねてこられたと思いますが、努力が実り本当によかったです。３年後のオリンピックも視野に入れて今後もがんばってください」と、大会での活躍をたたえました。

Mukogawa Women’s University canoe club won for the 10th time in a row at the 57th All Japan student canoe sprint championship. The event was held during August 24th to the 29th at the lake Tsukiyama canoe sprint stadium in Yamagata prefecture.
Mukogawa Women’s University saw victory to both kayak and Canadian categories. MVP was awarded to Wakana Hirao for kayak and for Canadian category, the MVP went to Mio Kobayashi.
The director of the canoe club, Ms. Nagaoka reported “we were able to get this far thanks to all the support and hard work from the team and staff. We are lucky to be in an environment where we can concentrate on training and grow. It’s important to carry on the traditions set before us and continue doing our best whilst keeping in mind of our achievement.
The captain, Ms. Hirao added “I’m happy for our 10 consecutive wins. Despite not doing as well as I’d hoped on the 500m kayak race, I was able to pull back and get the result I wanted in the 300m singles. I’m grateful to my team mates and of the support of the people around me.” Another member of the team continued “our club is rich in personality. What with the pandemic, we weren’t able to raise our voices like we would normally have done but we came together as one and succeeded getting this far. Thank you to all your support and encouragement.”
Mr. Okawara the chancellor of Mukogawa Women’s University, stated “congratulations on your victory. I’m happy to see all your hard work has paid off. I hope you can shine bright at the Olympic Games in 3 years’ time.”
