共通教育部主催の新しい自分発見イベント「武庫川女子大学に大阪府警がやってくる～警察官の仕事を体験しよう～」を12月10日、中央キャンパスで開催しました。
大阪府警察の方々が来学し、大阪府警察の業務内容の説明会と警察官の職業体験を実施しました。
業務内容の説明では、警察官だけでなく警察行政職の紹介や、出産育児に関する制度の説明も行われ、「警察官は大変そう」「ハードルが高そう」と感じていた学生にとって、イメージの変化や視野を広げるきっかけとなりました。
警察官の職業体験は、似顔絵捜査、職務質問、護身術など盛りだくさんの内容で、参加学生が学年の垣根を越えて和気あいあいと交流する姿も見られました。
本学ＯＧの現役警察官も登壇し、警察官を目指す学生に向けたメッセージや個別相談なども受け付け、「警察官」という仕事をより身近に感じるイベントとなりました。
約26人の参加があり、学生からは「警察官は固いイメージがありましたが、いろいろな話や体験を通して楽しく学ぶことができ、イメージが良い方に変わりました」「職務質問や護身術などの体験を通して、住民の安全を守れる存在になりたいと改めて思いました」「女性に優しい制度などの説明を大阪府警の方々が楽しく話されていて、とても魅力を感じました」などの感想が聞かれました。また、「このイベントを契機に真剣に警察官を目指そうと思う」と決意する声もあがりました。
次回は具体的な試験制度の個別相談会を予定しています。

"Mukogawa Women's University held a new self-discovery event, "Osaka Prefectural Police Visit Mukogawa Women's University: Experience the Work of a Police Officer," on December 10th at the Central Campus, hosted by the General Education Department.
Officers from the Osaka Prefectural Police visited the university to conduct a briefing on the duties of the Osaka Prefectural Police and to offer a hands-on experience of being a police officer.
In addition to introducing the role of police officers, the briefing also covered police administrative positions and maternity and childcare systems, changing the perceptions of students who had previously thought, "Being a police officer seems tough" or "It seems like a big hurdle."
The hands-on experience of being a police officer included a variety of activities such as sketch portrait investigations, field interviews, and self-defense techniques, providing an opportunity for participating students to interact with each other across different grades in a friendly atmosphere.
A police officer who was present on the day of is also a graduate of the University who gave a presentation and offered individual consultations to students aspiring to become police officers, making the job of a police officer feel more accessible.
Approximately 26 students participated, and comments such as "I had a rigid image of police officers, but through this event, I was able to learn in a fun way and how I see the role has changed for the better," "Through experiences like field interviews and self-defense techniques, I realized once again that I want to be in a position who can help to protect the safety of residents," and "I was very impressed by how the Osaka Prefectural Police officers explained the women-friendly systems in a new light," were heard. There were also voices expressing a determination to seriously aim to become a police officer as a result of this event.
