＜日本語/English＞ 経営学部の実践学習で、学生10人が8月31日、京都府綾部市の山崎善也市長からオンラインで特別授業を受けました。

経営学部の実践学習で、学生10人が8月31日、京都府綾部市の山崎善也市長からオンラインで特別授業を受けました。

7月末に始まった実践学習「あやべ大学」。綾部市は京都府北中央部に位置し、市の大部分を山林が占める自然豊かな土地です。学生たちは綾部市を学びのフィールドに、市が抱える少子高齢化などの課題を解決するため、山間部の活性化や自治会の在り方などを調査研究しています。

コロナ禍のため、対面で市長から話を聞くことがかないませんでしたが、オンライン授業で山崎市長はデータを示しながら市を取り巻く状況と打開策を説明し、学生の質問に丁寧に答えていました。

授業では、9月末から綾部市役所を実際に訪れ、担当課の話を聞くなどして学びを深め、来年3月に研究報告を行う予定です。

 

As a project based learning (PBL) practical assessment, 10 students from the Faculty of Business Administration took part in an online lesson. The online lesson was conducted by Mr. Zenya Yamazaki from Ayabe city in Kyoto.

 

Practical learning “Ayabe University” started at the end of July.

 

Ayabe city is located in the northern central part of Kyoto prefecture with its land rich in nature with forests occupying most of the city. Students are studying about Ayabe city in the field of study, and are investigating and researching the revitalization of mountainous areas and more. Other areas of study such as the ideal ways for the residents’ to solve problems such as the declining birthrate and the issue surrounding the aging population were discussed.  

 

Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, it was unfortunate but unavoidable to substitute the face to face style lesson to online. Despite this, mayor Yamazaki carefully explained the situation surrounding the city and how to overcome it. Questions were asked by students which he also answered respectively.

 

Come September, the students are actually planning on visiting Ayabe City Hall to gather more information. They will report their findings on the research in March next year.
