＜日本語/English＞ 高校単位の大学訪問が活発に。25日は在学生3人も参加して、高校生たちの質問に答えました。

高校単位での大学訪問が相次いでいます。高校3年生が入試シーズンを迎えるこの時期は、低学年が受験を身近に感じるタイミング。10月は19日から26日にかけて兵庫や大阪の4校から１、２年生が見学に訪れます。25日には兵庫県立伊川谷高校の2年生約40人が来訪。図書館やキャリアセンターなどを見学した後、公江記念館地下大講義室で入試センターの大学説明を聞きました。

 

在学生３人が参加し、高校生の質問に答える交流会では、「大学生になって大変なことは」「高校時代にやっておくといいことは」など、高校生の質問に学生が丁寧に答えていました。「なぜ武庫川女子大学を選んだのですか」という問いには「仲良しの先生が卒業生で、先輩も進学した。施設がきれいでやりたいことができそうな大学だと思ったから」「卒論集を見て、こんな研究をやりたいと感じたから」などと回答。武庫川女子大学の特長として、担任制や丹嶺学苑研修センターでの研修などを例に挙げ、「早い時期に友だちがたくさんできる」と、魅力をアピールしていました。

 

大学訪問は、例年は年間約50校を受け入れていますが、コロナ禍で昨年はほぼ実施できませんでした。今年は4月以降、約20校の来訪を受け入れています。

 

It’s the season of entrance exams for high school students in their final year. We welcome students from 4 high schools in Hyogo and Osaka during a week period in October from 19^th to 26^th. On the 25^th, about 40 students in their 2^nd year arrived on campus from Iwadani High School in Hyogo prefecture. After a tour around the campus, the students sat down at Koe Memorial Hall lecture room to listen to a presentation by the University’s Admission Center.

 

Three students from Mukogawa Women’s University joined in to help. They answered questions asked by students such as “What are some of the struggles of being a university student” and “What should we do as high school students before going to university” and students did their best to answer those. On being asked “Why did you choose to go to this university?” one student replied “the teacher I admired at school is a graduate of this university, and also a friend is here too. I also like the look of the campus and thought there’s a lot of things I could do here.”

 

Under normal circumstances, Mukogawa Women’s University welcomes approximately 50 high schools, with last year resulting to no visits, 20 high school visiting the campus this year seems to suggest things may be going back to as they were.
