西宮市の石井登志郎市長が1月12日、16日の二日間、共通教育の授業（山本晶子教授）で「西宮市のまちづくり」をテーマにゲスト講師を務めます。授業はオンデマンド形式のため、2022年12月23日に西宮市役所で、大谷光一教務助手が事前収録を行いました。

 

講義では「公務員の魅力」（12日）、「まちづくりと地方自治の役割」（16日）にそれぞれフォーカスしました。大阪・神戸の中間に位置し、文教住宅都市として発展してきた西宮市の歴史をたどり、コンビナート誘致に反対した住民運動により豊かな自然環境が守られたこと、阪神淡路大震災からの復興の経緯、西宮を代表する施設の一つで、誰もが知っている甲子園球場を活用して、連合体育大会や西宮市二十歳のつどい（旧成人式）が行われていることなど、まちの魅力を語りました。また、家族像、労働環境、地域のつながりの希薄化などの社会の変化により、共働き家族の増加への対応やまちづくりの担い手の育成など、市役所の役割が多様化している実情を丁寧に説明。多くの市政課題がある中で、「共働き支援、働く場の創出、コミュニティの強化を基軸に、西宮市のバージョンアップを図り、更に持続可能なまちづくりへの取り組みを進めている。シチズンシップを醸成し、市民一人一人が主体的な主人公として行動してもらうことでまちは良くなる」と、市民の参画によるまちづくりに期待を込めました。

受講した学生からは、「住民の暮らしやまちづくりを支える市役所の役割への理解が深まりました」、「西宮市の魅力を更に知ることができました」、「石井市長ご自身が本当に西宮が好きなんだと感じました」、「西宮が住みたいまちランキングで上位になることが分かる講義で、私も西宮市に住んでまちづくりの担い手になりたいと思いました」との感想が寄せられました。

 

Nishinomiya City Mayor Toshiro Ishii will be a guest lecturer in a General Education class (Prof. Akiko Yamamoto) on January 12 and 16 on the topic of "Nishinomiya City Planning". The lectures focused on "Attractiveness of Civil Service" and "Role of City Planning and Local Government" (16th), respectively. The lecture traced the history of Nishinomiya City, which is located between Osaka and Kobe and has developed as an educational and residential city, and explained how the rich natural environment was protected by the residents' movement against the construction of an industrial complex, how the city recovered from the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, how the Koshien Stadium, one of Nishinomiya's representative facilities and well known by all, was used for the United Sports Festival. He also talked about the appeal of Nishinomiya City, including the fact that the city's United Athletic Meet and the Nishinomiya City Nijyusai no Tsudoi (old Coming-of-Age Ceremony) are held at the Koshien Stadium, one of Nishinomiya's representative facilities and well known by all.
