＜日本語/English＞情報メディア学科新田ゼミの学生が、電子情報通信学会の総合大会で研究成果を発表しました。

一般社団法人電子情報通信学会が毎年3月に開催する総合大会が、2023年3月7日～10日に埼玉県さいたま市の芝浦工業大学大宮キャンパスにてハイブリッド開催されました。

大会の中で、情報・システムソサイエティの特別企画である「ジュニア＆学生ポスターセッション」が3月7日～8日に3年ぶりに現地開催され、情報メディア学科教授新田直子ゼミの3年生が下記のタイトルで研究成果をポスター発表しました。

・「テキストによる広告画像生成のための真正画像と生成画像の比較調査」
　島村礼子、大田美空、新田直子

・「広告画像生成のための自動生成テキストの有効性の検証」
　中田景子、大野ひとみ、辻萌々華、新田直子

学生たちは今回が初めての学会発表でしたが、研究テーマの設定から、方針の決定、実装、実験、考察、原稿執筆、ポスター作成、発表練習までに至る一連の過程を意欲的に進めました。

また発表当日は、他大学や企業からの聴講者との議論や他の発表から新たな視点を得たと、今後の研究への意欲を高めていました。

 

Students in the Nitta Lab of the Department of Informatics and Mediology presented their research results at IEICE General Conference 2023.

 

IEICE (The Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers) General Conference, held annually in March, was held in a hybrid mode at the Omiya Campus of Shibaura Institute of Technology in Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture from March 7th to 10th.

During the conference, the "Junior and Student Poster Session," a special session organized by IEICE-ISS (The Information and Systems Society), was held on-site for the first time in three years from March 7th to 8th, and the third-year students in Prof. Naoko Nitta's lab of the Department of Informatics and Mediology presented their research.

This was the first time for the students to present at a conference, but they were enthusiastic about the entire process, from setting the research topic and approaches, implementing, conducting the experiments and discussions, writing the manuscript, preparing the poster, and practicing the presentation.

At the poster session, they engaged in discussions with a number of industrial and academic attendees and gained new perspectives also from other presentations, which motivated them to continue their research.
