The Christmas tree lights were lit up and streamed live online from the main campus at Mukogawa Women’s University.

クリスマスツリー点灯式が12月8日夕、中央キャンパス・もみの木広場で行われました。点灯式は、学友会総務委員会のメンバーが企画からツリーの飾り付け、当日の運営までを担当。今年で20回目を迎え、師走の恒例行事として親しまれています。
昨年に続き、新型コロナウイルス感染拡大防止の観点からオンラインでのライブ配信となりました。
多くの学生がライブで見守る中、サンタクロースが登場すると会場からは拍手が起こりました。
そして、会場のもみの木広場に面する建物の明かりが消え、カウントダウンが始まりました。
高さ5メートルのツリーに明かりが灯された後、事前に収録しておいたエアロビックダンス部、ダンス部、音楽学部 浜甲カンタービレのパフォーマンスやクリスマスソングが配信されました。例年大好評の「お楽しみ大抽選会」はGoogleフォームを利用して行われ、抽選はリアルタイムで配信されました。当選者には後日プレゼントが渡されるということです。
総務委員長の中嶋真唯さん（生活環境学部情報メディア学科3年）は、「今年度は前期に緊急事態宣言が発令されたこともあり、総務委員会の活動はオンラインで行うことが多く、難しいこともありました。しかし、みんなで力を合わせ、このクリスマスツリー点灯式や学内献血などを実施することができました。これは、学生の皆さんや教職員の皆さんのご協力があったからです。ありがとうございました」と、感謝の言葉を述べました。
また、この企画を中心に進めてきた副委員長の曽根詩織さん（短期大学部心理・人間関係学科2年）は、「総務委員のみんなで協力し、役割を分担しました。オンラインのカメラの切り替えの調整が難しくうまくいくか心配しましたが、無事に終えられてよかったです。入学式もその後の1年時の授業も多くがオンラインになりましたが、総務委員会で仲間ができ、イベントに携わることができて本当によかったです」と語りました。
イルミネーションは12月25日まで毎日、午後4時20分から午後8時の間、点灯されます。
The annual Christmas tree illumination was held on the evening of December 8th, of the fir tree that sits in between MM building and KM building on main campus. This year marks a celebratory 20th year since the illumination of the tree began, and it’s gotten more and more popular over the years. Same as the previous year, the illumination was streamed online due to prevention of the spread of Covid-19.
While students watched on both online and on campus, Santa Claus appeared with an applause from the crowd. As the lights from the surrounding building went out making the venue as dark as it can be, the countdown started. Once the light was lit, performances by the dance club, the aerobic dance club and a Christmas song was played by the music department.
The “Great Raffle” held every year using Google Forms, and it was drawn live online with a promise of the winners be given their prizes at a later date.
The head of the student committee, Mai Nakajima says “we’ve predominantly had out committee meetings online during the planning phase due to the state of emergency which was challenging. But we came together as a team and worked hard for great results. We want to thank everyone involved, from students to the teams of staff at administration.”
