＜日本語/English＞ 高大合同の初の書の卒業展「武庫女書展」が始まりました。

The first joint calligraphy exhibition co-hosted by Mukogawa Women’s University and the junior/senior high school.

　武庫川女子大学日本語日本文学科書道研究室と附属高等学校書道部による合同卒業展「武庫女書展」（武庫川女子大学書道研究室　卒業制作展/武庫川女子大学附属高等学校書道部　卒業記念展-軌跡-）が3月4日から西宮市民ギャラリー（2階　第1・第2展示室）で始まりました。高大そろって卒業展を開催するのは初めてです。

 

　大学の書道研究室（書道ゼミ）の４年生11人と附属高等学校書道部の５人が参加。大学生は料紙に書いた仮名、屏風や軸に仕立てた漢字の大作など、高校生は漢字と近代詩文書を中心に、臨書や創作を出品しています。

 

　これまで高校は卒業展を行っておらず、大学の書道研究室も以前は卒業制作展を学内のみで行っていました。大学は2020年2月に初めてキャンパスを飛び出し、西宮市民ギャラリーで卒業展を開催。毎年、多くの人が足を運んでくれていることから、同会場で３年目となる今年は「高大連携で地域の方々とのつながりがさらに広がれば」と、附属高校に合同開催を呼びかけました。

 

　武庫川女子大学は1939年の武庫川学院創設当初から書に力を入れており、大学日本語日本文学科は書道に特化した授業が充実しています。1973年に開設した書道研究室（書道ゼミ）は高校の書道教諭や研究者を輩出しており、今回、四曲屏風の創作を発表する日本語日本文学科4年、原琴名さんも4月から、京都府立高校の書道教員になることが決まっています。2021年の西宮市・スポケーン市姉妹都市提携60周年にあたり、書道ゼミの学生たちが西宮市の番組「フロムにしのみや」の中で祝賀の書道パフォーマンスを披露しました。

 

　附属高校の書道部は書のインターハイにあたる総合文化祭の全国大会に12年連続出場中。春の選抜高校野球大会の開会式で使われるプラカードに校名を書く役割を任されることも多い実力派です。今回の卒業展では、2021年度に総合文化祭全国大会に出場した3年安田弥生さんの大作（90センチ×240センチ）も出品されています。

 

　大学書道ゼミの平田光彦准教授は「大学での学びを書を通して地域に還元する機会になれば。附属中高、大学それぞれの力が一つになって、新しい武庫川学院の書の伝統を創り出したい」。高校書道部を指導する安木文雄教諭は「多くの人に見ていただき、大学といっしょに書の魅力を伝えていきたい」と話しています。

 

　日本語日本語学科4年の豊島なつ美さんは「無事に作品が完成したことと、卒業制作展が開催できたことをうれしく思います」。作品にどんな思いを込めたかに関しては「観ていただいた方が、あっ！と驚くような、またコロナ禍の中で沈んだ心に、何かしらのパワーを与えれられるような思いを込めながら書きました」と話していました。

 

　また、付属高校3年の山本恵理さんは「初めて大学生との合同展示会で私たちの作品も展示していただくことができました。書道を専門とする方以外にも気軽に足をは運んでいただけるような会場で展覧していただくことで、より多くの方に私たちの書を観ていただけたことはうれしかったです」と話していました。

 

　同展は6日まで開催。開催時間は10時～17時（最終日は16時まで）です。

 

This marks the first time in history for the Calligraphy Lab of Department of Japanese Language and Literature at MWU and the related junior/senior high school’s calligraphy club to collaborate in a graduation project. They will be co-hosting a graduation memorial exhibition at Nishinomiya Citizen’s Gallery starting on March 4^th.

 

11 forth year university students and 5 students from the high school calligraphy club participated. They will exhibit their writings and creations, focusing on kanji and modern poetry documents.

 

Until now, the high school calligraphy club has not held graduation exhibitions, and the university calligraphy lab has only held graduation exhibitions on campus. The university’s calligraphy lab extended off campus in February 2020, and held a graduation exhibition at the same location as it will be held this time. With a large number of people attending the event since then, they decided to call upon the high school to hold one together. The aim is to demonstrate the relationship between the university and the junior/high school division is strong and working cooperatively to promote localization. 

 

The emphasis on calligraphy and the art of writing has been strong ever since the establishment of Mukogawa Women’s University in 1939. There are a wide range of classes specializing in calligraphy available through the Department of Japanese Language and Literature. The university students performed a celebratory calligraphy performance on the occasion of the 60^th anniversary of the sister city tie-up between Nishinomiya city and Spokane city in 2021.

 

For 12 years in a row, the calligraphy club at the MWU high school have competed in national level competitions via culture festival projects. In the past they have been appointed to write names of schools on the signs that were used at opening ceremonies of high school baseball tournaments. At this year’s exhibition, one piece of work by a high school student, Yayoi Yasuda whose work has appeared at national contests will be on display.
