社会情報学科の福井哲夫教授らの発表がeラーニングの全国大会でベスト・ムードル・イノベーション部門の準優勝を受賞しました。

社会情報学科の福井哲夫教授は2月16日～18日に長崎国際大学で行われたeラーニングの全国大会「日本ムードルムート2024」で、大阪大学の白井詩沙香講師およびエンジニアの中原敬広氏（合同会社三玄舎）とともに、科研費(23H01027)研究課題の成果「数式を含む文書作成のためのリッチテキストエディタプラグインの開発」について発表。大会最終日に、「ベスト・ムードル・イノベーション部門」で準優勝を受賞しました。

 

福井教授は情報工学のユーザインタフェースを研究しており、特に、特許を取得した数式入力インタフェースMathTOUCHを数学eラーニングに応用するプロジェクトに取り組んでいます。今回開発したシステムは協会の指定する公開サーバ上にオープンソースとして公開されています。無償で教育・研究者に提供されており、大会に参加していた内外の研究者から「ぜひ使ってみたい」という声が上がっていました。

 

「ベストムードルイノベーション賞」は2023年度に開発されたムードル学習管理システムに関するムードルイノベーションのうち、最も優秀と認められたものに贈られるものです。

 

Professor Tetsuo Fukui of the Department of Social Informatics, together with lecturer Shizuka Shirai of Osaka University and engineer Takahiro Nakahara (Sangensha LLC), presented the results of a Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (23H01027) research project "The Development of a rich text editor plug-in for creating documents containing mathematical formulae". On the last day of the conference, they were awarded the runner-up prize in the 'Best Moodle Innovation' category.

Professor Fukui researches user interfaces in information engineering and is particularly involved in a project for applying the patented MathTOUCH formula input interface to mathematics e-learning. The newly developed system is available as open source on a public server designated by the association. It is available to educators and researchers free of charge, and researchers from Japan and abroad who attended the conference expressed their desire to use the system.
