第１回MUKOJO研究ポットラックが６月28日、サイエンス・コモンズで開催されました。

第1回MUKOJO研究ポットラックが６月28日、中央キャンパス研究所棟１階サイエンス・コモンズで開催され、本学教職員をはじめ、大学院生や企業関係者など計19人が参加しました。

 

本学は令和5年度 文部科学省科学技術人材育成費補助事業 ダイバーシティ研究環境実現イニシアティブ(女性リーダー育成型)に選定され、女性研究者の育成や支援に力を入れています。「MUKOJO研究ポットラック」はその取り組みの一つであり、研究者同士がそれぞれの研究を共有することで、仲間と出会い新しい研究を育てる場となることを目的に開かれています。

 

第1回のテーマは「女性のウェルビーイングを考えよう」。本学経営学科の高橋千枝子教授と生活環境学科の竹本由美子准教授が話題提供し、女性を取り巻く様々な課題について考える機会となりました。

 

話題提供では、高橋教授が女性特有の疾患に注目した研究や生理用品の開発など、Z世代の女性のニーズに応える製品をゼミ生とともに開発していることを紹介。「二十歳前後の女性をターゲットにした研究ができることが魅力」と述べました。

 

また、竹本准教授は、エアコンの快適温度の違いや冷え性、着圧ソックスの効果など、多岐にわたる男性と女性の生理的・身体的特徴の違いに関する研究を紹介。「女性のウェルビーイングについて女子大だから発信できるものがあるはず」と語りました。

 

その後の参加者を交えたディスカッションでは、「女子大だからできること」、「武庫女から発信できること」が話し合われ、健康診断を活用した大規模調査による学生の健康管理に関する研究など様々なアイディアが出ました。今後、学内共同研究として立ち上げられるよう引き続き検討を行います。

 

「MUKOJO研究ポットラック」では、今後も社会、経済、キャリア、子育・介護、家族、健康、医療、ジェンダー、地域、環境など、多様なテーマを取り上げていきます。第2回は、7月25日「地域のダイバーシティを考えよう」をテーマに開催します。

The 1st MUKOJO Research Potluck was held on 28th of June in the Science Commons on the 1st floor of the Research Institute Building (I) on the Main Campus, and was attended by a total of 20 people, including University staff, alumni and industrial representatives.

 

The University was selected for the 2023 Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Human Resource Development Subsidy Program’s Diversity Research Environment Realization Initiative (Female Leader Development Type), and is focusing on fostering and supporting female researchers. The MUKOJO Research Potluck is one of these initiatives and is held with the aim of providing a place where researchers can share their research, meet colleagues and foster new research.

 

The subject of the first meeting was ‘Let's think about women's wellbeing’. Professor Chieko Takahashi from the University's Department of Business Administration and Associate Professor Yumiko Takemoto from the Department of Human Environmental Sciences presented the topic, providing an opportunity to consider various issues surrounding women.

 

The MUKOJO Research Potluck will continue to cover a diverse range of topics, including society, economy, careers, childcare/caregiving, family, health, medicine, gender, community and the environment. The second session will be held on 25 July under the theme ‘Let's think about local diversity’.
