1月3日に東京ドームで行われた女子タッチフットボール全日本王座決定戦「第27回さくらボウル」で、武庫川女子大学のタッチフットボール部「GeNTLe　BReeZe」が３年連続の日本一に輝きました。「さくらボウル」は、女子東西大学王座決定戦「プリンセスボウル」で優勝した学生女子代表と、一般女子日本選手権「ファイナルタッチ」で優勝した社会人代表が出場し、日本一を決します。GeNTLe BReeZeは2020年の第25回、2021年の第26回から優勝を続けています。

 

快挙を振り返り、主将の健康・スポーツ科学科４年、橋本唯菜さんが次のようにコメントしました。

 

「先輩方から引き継いだ日本一の連覇はとてもプレッシャーが大きかったです。過去一番の最弱チームといわれていた今年のチームが、東京ドームという大舞台で日本一の三連覇を達成しました。これは、どんな時も一緒に戦ってくれた後輩達をはじめ、コーチさん、先輩方、トレーナーさん、そして保護者の方々と沢山の方からの支えがあったからです。最高に幸せな時間でした。来年も再来年も後輩達がきっと日本一の連覇を繋げてくれます。これからもGeNTLe BReeZeの応援をよろしくお願い致します。ありがとうございました」

 

"GeNTLe BReeZe" won the championship “the 27^th Sakura Bowl” held at Tokyo Dome on January 3^rd. The team has consecutively won the championship since 2020.

 

Looking back on the feat, the captain Yuina Hashimoto, the 4^th year student in the Department of Health and Sports Science, commented as follows.

 

“The run of consecutive feat that we inherited from the generation before us to be the number one was a huge pressure, especially because our team this year was said to be the weakest team in the past. But with all the support from people around us, team mates, coaches and family and friends is what got us through as far as we did, so we’re thankful to them. I am sure that the next generation of players will carry the legacy for years to come. Thank you all for your support and please continue doing so.”
