＜日本語/English＞陸上競技部の籔田みのりさんが「第105回日本陸上競技選手権大会・20km競歩」で、３位に入賞しました。

兵庫県六甲アイランドで２月20日に行われた「第105回日本陸上競技選手権大会・20km競歩（主催：日本陸上競技連盟）」で、籔田みのりさん（健康・スポーツ科学科2年）が第3位に入賞しました。東京オリンピック代表の上位２選手に迫る、１時間35分56秒タイムを記録。強風が容赦なく体温を奪う過酷な条件下で、自己記録を大幅に上回り、日本選手権で初の入賞を果たしました。今後の日本代表選手への期待も高まっています。

　籔田さんは「昨年この大会で悔しい思いをしてから、1年間沢山悩みながら自分のできることを探し、地道に取り組んできました。今回の結果に繋がり、とても嬉しく思っています。今後も感謝の気持ちと競技を楽しむ気持ちを忘れず、更に上を目指していきます」とコメントしました。

 

At the championships, held in Rokko Island, Hyogo Prefecture, sponsored by Japan Assosiation of Athlectics Federations, Ms. Yabuta was awarded the prize of third place. She had competed in a 20km racewalk tournament on February 20^th.

 

Her run recorded at 1 hour 35 minutes and 56 seconds, putting her up at the top with two Olympic representatives. Under the harsh conditions where strong winds ruthlessly deprived her of maintaining her body temperature, she exceeded to accomplish her personal best and get hold of an award for the first time at the Japan Championships. She is one of the hopefuls to join the Team Japan in the upcoming national tournaments.

 

Ms. Yabuta commented “Ever since experiencing a bitter result at the tournament this time last year, I’ve been working steadily to do better. I’m pleased with the results this time round. I will continue to aim for even higher all without forgetting gratitude and carry on enjoying the sport.”
