＜日本語/English＞ 3年ぶりに再開するアメリカ分校現地留学に向けて、学生と父母等の合同説明会が開催されました

A joint briefing session for students and parents held to study abroad at MUSC for the first time in 3 years.

2022年9月から3年ぶりに再開する英語文化学科と英語キャリア・コミュニケーション学科のアメリカ分校留学に向けて6月25日 、公江記念講堂で父母等・学生合同説明会が開催されました。コロナ禍で2020年度から現地留学がストップし、現3年生以下の学生はアメリカ分校への現地留学は未経験でした。

 

説明会はアメリカ分校の中原朗裕副学長をはじめ、英語文化学科の教員、旅行会社の担当者らが出席。現地でのプログラムや寮生活、食事、ネット環境、渡航時の荷物の注意点などをガイドブックに沿って説明しました。学生と父母等、200人以上の参加があり、活発な質疑応答が行われました。

 

今回のアメリカ分校留学の対象者は、レギュラープログラムで参加する短大 英語キャリア・コミュニケーション学科1年生全員と、エクステンションプログラムでの参加となる大学 英語文化学科2年・3年生の希望者です。スクリーンには現地の建物や緑あふれる環境が映し出され、学生たちはようやく始まるアメリカでの生活を心待ちにしている様子でした。

 

アメリカ分校へは9月6日から順次出発する予定です。

 

In preparation for studying abroad for students of Department of English, a briefing session was held at Koe Memorial Auditorium on June 25^th. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic that prevented students from studying at the Mukogawa Women’s University’s U.S campus in Spokane, the current third year students are yet to experience studying at the U.S campus.

 

At the briefing, the Vice President at MUSC, Mr. Nakahara attended, followed by the Faculty of English and others in charge of travel arrangements and agencies. More than 200 people, including students and their guardians, were present to hear about the program, the dormitory life, meals, precautions and such much needed information prior to the travels.  

 

The large screen projected images of local buildings and the scenery of the city they’ll be staying in, the students seemed to lighten up with excitement at the prospect of finally being able to step a foot on to the campus in the U.S.
