Students from the School of Business Administration collaborated with a retired horse farm on Awaji Island to test-sell goods for profit.

経営学部の学生が淡路島の保護馬交流牧場「シェアホースアイランド」とコラボし、保護馬の馬糞の再生紙からお守りカード「ラッキーホースチャーム」を共同開発しました。13日に中央キャンパス公江記念館でテスト販売を行い、市販に向けたアンケートを兼ね、販売会場で人気投票を行いました。
経営学部では、実践学習の一環として、淡路島で引退した競争馬や農耕馬を保護し、飼育しているシェアホースアイランドとコラボし、同牧場で保護されている農耕馬を引退した「風月」と元競走馬の「アネロワ」から摂った馬糞から再生した「ばふんペーパー」の商品企画プロジェクトに参画。9月から同牧場の理念や馬との暮らしについて学び、現地に出向いて実際に馬と触れ合ったり、農耕など馬との協業を体験しながら企画を練り、「お守りカード」を開発しました。
競走馬を引退した馬や引き取り手のない馬は、多くが殺処分されていると言われており、保護されて余生を伸び伸び過ごす馬たちは「ラッキーホース」と呼ばれています。「ラッキーホースチャーム」は、保護馬の運の強さと馬糞の「うん」をかけた開運グッズです。
馬糞の主である２頭の馬の写真をあしらった4種の絵柄も学生がデザイン。恋愛運、学業成就・仕事運、勝負運、金運の４種の意味をもたせました。訪れた学生や教職員は悩みながらカードを選んでいました。
経営学部2年の佐賀紗音さんは「予想以上によく売れ、アンケートにもこたえてもらえました。スマホカバー等にはさんだり、手帳にはさんだり、自分なりの使い方で大切にしてほしい」と話しています。
2023年1月6日からシェアホースアイランドのホームページで発売予定です。
Students from the School of Business Administration collaborated with "Share Horse Island," a protected horse exchange farm on Awaji Island, to jointly develop a "Lucky Horse Charm," a good-luck charm card made from recycled paper of horse manure from protected horses. The popularity vote was held at the sales venue as well as a questionnaire survey for the commercialization of the product.
As part of Project Based Learning (PBL), the School of Business Administration collaborated with Share Horse Island, which protects and raises retired racehorses and farm horses on Awaji Island, on a product planning project for "Bafun Paper" recycled from horse manure taken from retired farm horses "Fugetsu" and former racehorse "Anerova" that are protected at the ranch. Since September, the team has been learning about the ranch's philosophy and life with horses, visiting the ranch to actually interact with the horses and experience working with them, such as farming, while developing the project and developing a good-luck charm card.
It will be available on the Share Horse Island website starting January 6, 2023.
