＜日本語/English＞ 日本語教員資格取得をめざす学生が各国外交官・公務員との日本語交流会を実施しました。

Japanese language exchange meeting with diplomats and public officials of various countries was held for students who are studying for Japanese language teacher certification.

日本語教員資格取得をめざす日本語日本文学科3年生21人が、アジア、アフリカ、ヨーロッパ、中南米、オセアニアなど21か国の外交官・公務員22人を迎えて、日本語による交流会を1月7日に本学で行いました。各国外交官・公務員は、昨年10月に来日し、５月まで大阪の国際交流基金関西国際センターで日本語の研修を予定しています。

 

交流会はグループに分かれてフリートークから開始。学生は平易な日本語と英語、筆談やジェスチャーなど様々な手段を駆使してコミュニケーションを行ないました。

 

次に、「日本のお正月」を体験するコーナーを実施。すごろく、福笑い、坊主めくり、けん玉を一緒に楽しみました。中でも、各国外交官・公務員の人気が最も高かったのが「書き初め」。スマートフォンでお気に入りの言葉や文字を検索し、毛筆でしたためていました。

 

最後に、アフリカのボツワナの公務員（ボツワナ投資貿易センター）であるレボLEBOさんが代表としてあいさつを行いました。武庫女生のおもてなしを心から喜び、SDGｓの目標でもある「ジェンダー平等の実現」にも言及。「将来は“女性リーダー”という言葉はなくなり、“リーダー”という言葉だけになるでしょう」と、フェイスブック（現在はメタ・プラットフォームズ）の元最高執行責任者（COO）のシェリル・サンドバーグの言葉を引用して、励ましのメッセージを日本語と英語で伝えました。

 

Twenty-one third-year students of the Department of Japanese Language and Literature, who are working toward certification as Japanese language teachers, welcomed 22 Diplomats and Public Officials from 21 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, Central and South America, and Oceania to an exchange meeting in Japanese at the university on January 7. The Diplomats and Public Officials from each country arrived in Japan last October and are scheduled to continue their Japanese language training at the Japan Foundation Japanese-Language Institute, Kansai in Osaka until May.

 

A "Japanese New Year" experience workshop was held. Participants enjoyed playing Sugoroku (Japanese backgammon), Fukuwarai (Japanese folk game), Bozu-Mekuri (Japanese paper doll), and Kendama (Japanese bilboquet) together. Among these, the most popular activity among diplomats and Public Officials of each country was "kakizome," or the first writing of the New Year. They searched for their favorite words and characters on their smartphones and wrote them with a brush.

 

As a representative, Ms. Lebo a Public Official of Botswana, Africa (Botsuwana Investment and Trade Center) gave a speech at the end. She was moved with the hospitality of the students at Mukogawa Women’s University, and mentioned about the prominence of one of the SDG goal, “gender equality”. She quoted the words of Sheryl Sandberg, a former COO of Facebook (now Meta Platforms) “In the future there will be no female leaders. There will just be leaders.”
