Mizuho Fujimoto, a first-year education student aiming to compete in the Paris Paralympics in sitting volleyball, will be featured on SBS Shizuoka Broadcasting's 'Minaspo'.


Mizuho Fujimoto, a first-year student in the Department of Education at the University's Faculty of Education, who is from Shizuoka City and a member of the Japanese women's sitting volleyball team 'Kirameki Japan' and is aiming to compete in the Paris Paralympics, will be featured in SBS Shizuoka Broadcasting's sports information program 'Minaspo' (to be broadcast on 3rd of February).


  The team won a bronze medal at the Hangzhou Asian Para Games last October and is aiming to compete in the Paris Paralympics, which start in August. Ms. Fujimoto started playing sitting volleyball in earnest in her third year of high school and became a member of the Japanese national team. She also contributed to Japan winning a medal at the Hangzhou Asian Para Games.


 The program focuses on Ms. Fujimoto as a "rising star in the Shizuoka Para world" and interviews her as she trains for the final qualifying round for the Paris Paralympics to be held in April.
