2023年度「大河原学院長賞」授与式が行われました。

体育活動や文化活動の課外活動で、全国・世界級の大会で優秀な成績を収めた学生をたたえる「大河原学院長賞」の授与式が3月12日午前、中央キャンパスの中央図書館 グローバルスタジオで行われ、大河原量学院長から授与者に褒賞状と褒賞金が贈られました。

 

授与式に続き、大河原学院長と出席者17人との座談会が行われ、受賞のきっかけとなった大会の思い出や今後の抱負、優秀な成績をおさめるにあたって日頃からどのような練習をしてるかなどについて懇談しました。学生たちのコメントを聞き、大河原学院長からは「みなさんのお話を聞いて、普段から勉学に、正課外活動にと励んでおられる様子が良く分かり、その姿勢に感動しました。今後も自分を高めているということに自信をもって、継続してほしいと思います」と激励しました。

 

受賞者を代表して、テコンドー同好会の丹羽 結子さん（健康・スポーツ科学研究科　修士１年）が「このような形で賞をいただき、今までの努力が認められたように感じられて嬉しく思います。私だけでなく、受賞された皆さんも努力されてきたと思います。感謝を忘れずに今後も精進します」と話しました。

その後、バトン・チアリーディング部によるCelebration Danceパフォーマンスが行われ出席者らを祝福しました。

The 2023 'Chancellor's Award' presentation ceremony was held.
 

On the morning of March 12th, the award ceremony for the Chancellor Ogawara Award, which recognizes students who have achieved outstanding results in national and world-class competitions in extracurricular sports and cultural activities, was held in the Global Studio of the Central Library on the Main Campus, where the recipients were presented with certificates and prizes by Chancellor Ryo Ogawara.

Following the ceremony, a sit-down discussion was held between the chancellor and the 17 participants, who shared their expereiences of the competition that led to the award, their aspirations for the future, and how their practices on daily probed to achieve excellent results. After listening to the students' comments, Chancellr Ogawara commented: 'Listening to you all, I understand how hard you work on your studies and extra-curricular activities on a regular basis, and I am impressed by your attitude. I hope that you will continue to have confidence in your self-improvement in the future".

On behalf of the award winners, Yuko Niwa (1st year master's student, Graduate School of Health and Sport Sciences) from the Taekwondo Club said: 'I am honored to receive the award in this way and feel as if my efforts up to now have been acknowledged. I believe that not only I, but also all the award winners have made a lot of effort. I will never forget to thank you and will continue to work hard in the future".

This was followed by a Celebration Dance performance by the Baton Cheerleading Club, who congratulated those present.
