図書館セミナー「新聞を読んでみよう」が中央図書館で開かれました。

2024年度　第1回図書館セミナー「新聞を読んでみよう」が5月22日、中央図書館のグローバルスタジオで開催され、学生・教員が参加しました。

今回、講師は角清孝図書課長が担当し、新聞の種類や情報量・ニュースの構成などについて、実際の新聞を使って説明しました。新聞紙面の情報量を文字数やアナウンサーが読み上げる時間数に換算したり、新聞記事の構成として重要なことは最初にまとめられていることを紹介したりして、新聞の特徴を伝えました。
また、同じ日の新聞一面を違う新聞６紙で比較し、新聞社によっても注目のニュースが違うことや、ネット記事との違いなどにも触れ、複数の新聞を読んでみましょうと呼びかけました。

The first library seminar of FY2024, “Let's Try Reading the Paper,” was held on May 22nd in the Global Studio of the Central Library, with students and faculty in attendance.

The lecturer this time was Mr. Kiyotaka Sumi, Library Section Chief, who used actual newspapers to explain the types of newspapers, the amount of information, and the composition of stories and the news. He showed the characteristics of newspapers by converting the amount of information in a newspaper page into the number of words and the number of hours for the announcer to read, and introduced that the important things are summarized at the beginning as the structure of a newspaper article.

The speaker also compared the front pages of six different newspapers on the same day, noting that different newspapers focus on different topics and that there are differences from online articles, and encouraged the participants to read more than one newspaper.
