郡副学長が弘前大学から名誉教授の称号を授与されました。

郡千寿子副学長が6月13日、前任校の弘前大学を訪れ、福田眞作学長から名誉教授称号の辞令書を授与されました。

 

郡副学長は武庫川女子大学文学部国文学科卒業、大学院文学研究科国語国文学専攻修士課程を修了した本学のOGです。日本語学の研究者として歩み、弘前大学で教育学部教授、教育研究評議会委員、経営評議会委員、附属図書館長を歴任。2016年2月から2024年3月まで弘前大学副学長・理事を務め、４月、武庫川女子大学に副学長、文学部長、日本語日本文学科教授として着任しました。

 

名誉教授の称号はそれぞれの大学の規程に基づき、勤続年数や功績など一定の条件を満たした人に贈られます。郡副学長は「弘前大学の教員として教育上学術上特に功績があった」として名誉教授称号を授与されました。福田学長から名誉教授称号の辞令書を授与された郡副学長は、額入りの辞令書を手に記念撮影。その後、郡副学長は6月3日に放送された朝日放送テレビの「武庫川女子大学のむこじょTV＃23」に出演したことなど、近況や取り組みについて福田学長に報告し、和やかに懇談しました。

 

  Vice-President Chizuko Kori visited her former university, Hirosaki University, on 13th of June and received a letter of resignation from President Shinsaku Fukuda, who granted her the title of Professor Emeritus.

 

 Vice-President Kori is an alumni of the University, having graduated from the Department of Japanese Literature in the School of Letters at Mukogawa Women's University and completed a Master's course in Japanese Language and Literature in the Graduate School of Letters. She has worked as a researcher in Japanese language studies and served as a professor in the School of Education, a member of the Education and Research Council, a member of the Management Council and the Director of the Library at Hirosaki University, and from February 2016 to March 2024 as Vice-President and Director of Hirosaki University, before joining Mukogawa Women's University in April as Vice-President, Dean of the School of Literature and Professor of the Department of Japanese Language and Japanese Literature.

 

 The title of Professor Emeritus is awarded to those who fulfil certain conditions, such as years of service and achievements, in accordance with the regulations of the respective university. Vice-President Kori was awarded the title of professor emeritus for her "particular educational and academic achievements as a faculty member of Hirosaki University". Vice-President Kori was presented with a letter of resignation for the title of Professor Emeritus by President Fukuda, who took a commemorative photograph with the framed letter of resignation in his hand. Afterwards, Vice-President Kori reported to President Fukuda on recent developments and initiatives, including her appearance on Asahi Broadcasting Corporation TV's "Mukogawa Women's University's Mukojo TV #23" broadcast on 3^rd of June.
