武庫川女子大学と体育・スポーツのかかわりを、1939年の創立時から万博が開催された1970年までにフォーカスして振り返る武庫川女子大学附属総合ミュージアムの展覧会「武庫女とスポーツ-1939~1970」が21日、学術研究交流館5階ギャラリーで始まりました。7月28日まで。

 

健康・スポーツ科学部を有し、多数のオリンピアンを輩出するなど「スポーツに強い大学」として知られる武庫川女子大学では、体育・スポーツは常に教育の柱の一つをなしてきました。

 

同展では、本学が体操会場となった1956年の第11回国民体育大会、世界のオリンピック選手らを招いた1964年の「アフターオリンピック」など輝かしい出来事が、豊富な写真とポスター、トロフィー、記念はがきなどでよみがえります。今も附属中高で受け継がれる武庫川音頭の浴衣、武庫川学院愛唱歌の衣装も展示。1960年代の大学要覧や卒業アルバム、体育大会のプログラムなども示しながら、武庫女とスポーツが教育の中でどのように展開したかを浮き彫りにしています。

 

会場では1960年代に作られた本学の記録映画から、体育・スポーツのシーンをえりすぐったダイジェストも上映し、訪れた人の目を引き付けていました。

 

開館時間は10時～16時30分。土日祝閉館。観覧無料。

 

Just off the main campus, there lies an academic research exchange building with the 5^th floor dedicated to exhibitions of Mukogawa Women’s sporting history and legacy.

 

The exhibition of “Mukogawa Women’s University and sports – 1939~1970” is available until July 28^th. The theme of the display is of the relationship between the university and sports. MWU was founded back in 1939 and has seen few Olympians among its graduates and it is known for the sporting talents of students that attend and have attended.

 

The year of 1970 was the year the Japan World Exposition was held in Osaka.

 

MWU has facilitated athletes to its grounds for “post Olympics” at Tokyo 1964 Olympics. There are photographs, posters and memorabilia on show at the museum. 

 

The museum is open from 10am ~ 4:30pm. Open only on weekdays, free entry.
