＜日本語/English＞食創造科学科2年生がトルコのバフチェシヒル大学と交流授業を行いました。

Cultural exchange lesson with the Bahcesehir University.

食物栄養科学部食創造科学科2年生が、12月21日、中央キャンパスの教室でトルコのバフチェシヒル大学と交流授業を行いました。

 

本学はトルコ・イスタンブールのバフチェシヒル大学と2008年に協力協定を結び、主に建築学部との学術分野の交流を図ってきました。他の分野での学術交流・協力関係の拡大を進める取り組みとして、食物栄養科学部食創造科学科の佐藤滋之准教授が「フードサイエンス英語Ⅱ」の時間を利用して準備を進め、日本とトルコをオンラインでつないだ交流授業が実現しました。

 

授業では、双方の大学の紹介を行った後、食創造科学科の学生は英語による日本食のプレゼンテーションを、バフチェシヒル大学の学生は調理実習室からトルコ料理の紹介を行いました。初めての試みにお互いに緊張をしていた両大学の学生ですが、授業が進むにつれ互いに打ち解け、さらに交流を深めることを約束して第一回の交流授業を終えました。

 

トルコ料理はフランス料理、中華料理と並んで世界三大料理として世界に広く知られています。宮廷料理として発展してきた料理の歴史だけでなく、東西の交易路の中心に位置し豊かな食文化を誇っています。日本の和食文化もまたユネスコの世界無形文化財として2013年に登録され、ますます世界中でその魅力が知られるようになっています。この二つの優れた食文化の交流を通じて新たな食の可能性を広げていくことが期待されています。

 

授業を通じて学生は、「ナッツや香辛料など、実際の食材を見せながら説明をしていただいて、トルコの料理に興味が湧きました」「トルコの学生さんが画面越しでも魅力的なことが伝わりました」などの感想を述べました。

 

A second year student in the Faculty of Food and Nutritional Science, held an exchange lesson with the Bahcesehir University in Turkey.

 

Mukogawa Women’s University signed a cooperation agreement with Bahcesehir University in Istanbul, Turkey in 2008, and has been working together since then. As an initiative to promote academic relations and establishment of it in wider fields, associate professor Shigeyuki Sato, has been working to expand on further academic exchanges.

 

In the online class, both parties introduced themselves, and students of MWU gave a presentation on Japanese food in English, and the students of Bahcesehir University did the same with introducing Turkish cuisine.

 

Since it was the first time for the students to meet through the screens, they appeared nervous in the beginning but it gradually picked up and seem comfortable as time progressed. Turkish cuisine is widely known around the world as one of the world’s three great cuisines, along with French and Chinese cuisine.

 

Through the lesson, the students said “having seen the actual ingredients such as nuts and spices that goes into the dishes, I am taken by Turkish cuisine.”
