ロシアによる軍事侵攻で苦しむウクライナの人々を食糧面から支援しようと「ブラウンライスボランティア」が、学内外で募金活動を行っています。13日は阪神電車「鳴尾・武庫川女子大前」駅前で、学生たちに募金を呼びかけました。

 

ウクライナの緊急支援を行っている国連WFPの呼びかけを受け、学生たちが「何か力になりたい」と協力を申し出ました。中央キャンパスの本館や各所に募金箱を設置し、学生が募金の呼びかけをしています。

 

「鳴尾・武庫川女子大前」駅周辺での募金呼びかけは、4月14日（木）まで。中央キャンパスでの募金箱設置は、4月28日（木）までを予定しています。

 

「ブラウンライスボランティア」とは、世界食糧計画（国連WFP）の「学校給食プログラム」を支援する公認ボランティア団体です。毎月１週間、大学と附属中高の食堂で玄米を使ったオリジナルメニューを提供。売り上げの10％と寄付金などを認定NPO法人「国連WFP協会」を通して国連WFPに送っています。2010年5月に始まったこの活動がきっかけで、2018年5月、本学は大学として初めて「国連WFP協会」と連携協力協定に至りました。

Raising funds to help people of Ukraine is an initiative by the students of the Brown Rice volunteer committee which monitors SDGs related issues at Mukogawa Women’s University. On April 13^th, the students sporting orange t-shirts were seen calling out for donations near the Naruo/Mukogawa Women’s University station.

 

The committee’s desire to help came to light with the call of the United Nations WFP who are known providers of emergency assistance to Ukraine. Donation boxes have been placed in various locations around the main campus.  

 

The students will be collecting donations at the Naruo/Mukogawa Women’s University until April 14^th. The donation boxes will be set until April 28^th.

 

Brown Rice is a team of students promoting the use of brown rice and offering an option of brown rice meal at the campus cafeterias. Upon purchasing, 10% of the sales will then be donated to the United Nations WFP Association to help the “school lunch program” in developing countries.
